HIP HOP HARRY
“Hip Hop Harry” is an Emmy nominated music & dance based live action program designed to entertain, educate and inform children in the 4 to 10 year old age group. The major entertainment and educational areas that form from the curriculum by Dr. Gordon Berry include experiences and activities related to: (a) social / emotional skills, (b) cognitive / educational skills, (c) physical / health skills and (d) artistic / creative skills. Hip Hop Harry has received multiple awards, such as, a Daytime Emmy Nomination for “Outstanding Preschool Series”, Two Parents’ Choice Award seals of Approval and The Telly Award. Grammy Winning/Nominated Lyricists and Producers produce Hip Hop Harry’s music. The children take away fundamental meanings behind the lyrics and choreography. The call and response nature of rhyming/rap is a pre-cursor for literacy. The choreography often gets the viewer off of their feet and organically promotes exercise. With the seal, HIP HOP HARRY entered an elite selection of children’s media, as only fifteen percent of the submissions are awarded. The Parents’ Choice Awards Committee, comprised of moms, dads, teachers, performing artists, librarians and kids themselves, search out and recommend products that help kids grow – imaginatively, physically, morally and mentally – and are fun, safe and socially sound.
HIP HOP HARRY features a lovable bear named “Harry” who runs the after-school center Hip Hop Central. At Hip Hop Central, kids learn valuable lessons about healthy living, imagination and creativity, friendship and basic academics through rhyme and dance. The show clearly resonates with the pre-school set, filling a gap in children’s programming that reflects popular music and culture. The Parents’ Choice Award proves that parents, too, have been looking for a show like HIP HOP HARRY to help them connect with their children.

HIP HOP HARRY’s Live Show is family fun at its best! Over the past ten years, there have been over 400 live performances. The crowds range from 300 to 3,000 people. The show features original rap-a-long songs with educational and positive messages. Hip Hop Harry is accompanied on stage by The Hip Hop Harry Dance Crew, a dynamic group of acrobatic and inspiring break dancers that get the whole crowd moving!
HIP HOP HARRY is the creation of Claude Brooks and his television and film production company C To The B Productions, also behind the hit shows “Second Time Around,” “Dance 360” and “MTV’s Lyricist Lounge.”
